US data management and cybersecurity firm Quest Software has inaugurated a new Centre for Advanced AI Architecture in Cork, aimed at accelerating AI adoption and fostering applied research, development, and first-of-a-kind engineering innovations.
Supported by IDA Ireland, the Cork centre will strengthen Quest’s AI, data science, cybersecurity, and software capabilities. Recruitment has already begun, with the centre projected to host roughly 100 roles over time, spanning AI engineering leads, software engineers, data scientists, and programme managers. Positions are being posted publicly on the Quest Software careers website.
The new hub forms part of Quest’s broader strategy to leverage AI in enterprise software solutions. Tim Page, CEO at Quest Software, said, “This investment strengthens our growth and supports the work we are doing to advance our products for the AI era and help us deliver AI that customers can trust. By investing in technology and talent, and partnering with local universities and research institutions, we can help develop the next generation of AI and cybersecurity professionals.”
Quest plans to collaborate with Irish universities to develop courses, training programmes, and skills development initiatives to grow the local talent pool in AI and cybersecurity. Dónal Travers, executive director of IDA Ireland, added, “This project positions Quest at the forefront of enterprise AI transformation, delivering technically differentiated solutions that offer global impact. I wish to congratulate the Quest team and assure them of IDA Ireland’s continued support and partnership.”
The Cork centre joins Quest’s existing Ireland offices in Dublin and Cork, forming part of a global network established since the company’s founding in 1987.
