The Department for Infrastructure has confirmed that key sections of Belfast’s M3 Lagan Bridge will close across two weekends in August for £400,000 maintenance works. The project will see the replacement of eight bridge bearings to maintain structural integrity on a route that carries over 90,000 vehicles daily.

Closures will affect both eastbound and westbound carriageways, with diversions in place. While efforts have been made to minimise disruption, delays are expected—especially for those travelling to the port or airport.
