Barry Foote has taken the Rising Star in Architecture award at the Building and Architect of the Year Awards 2026, earning the judges' recognition for a body of work that sets a new benchmark for emerging talent in Irish architecture.

Foote's rapid ascent to Associate Director at Reddy A+U early in his career reflects the confidence placed in him by clients and senior leadership alike. 

His engagement with MMC and AI integration positions him at the leading edge of a profession navigating significant technological change. In both areas, Foote has moved beyond awareness to active application, bringing measurable impact to his practice and to the wider conversation around how Irish architecture evolves.

The Building and Architect of the Year Awards 2026 ceremony took place on Thursday, 23rd April 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry.
