The Women in Architecture Award recognises the exceptional achievements of women who have made significant contributions to the field of architecture. The judges will be looking for women who have demonstrated leadership, innovation, and excellence in their roles, and who have broken down barriers to pave the way for future opportunities for women in architecture. The winner can be nominated by themselves or anyone within their organisation, but ensure that you have the permission of the nominee before submitting. Entry is by a five-page A4 submission. It should include one project that has been completed within the last 12 months. The judges will be looking for clear information that is backed up by facts and photos illustrating your points, paying particular attention to the criteria listed below:

  • Career Summary: Outline the nominee’s career highlights and qualifications.
  • Leadership: Show evidence of leading teams, projects, or mentoring in architecture.
  • Innovation: Demonstrate creativity through pioneering design, sustainability, or new technologies.
  • Professionalism: Highlight ethical practice, industry standards, and role-model qualities.
  • Impact: Show how the nominee’s work has influenced architecture, sustainability, or inclusion.
  • Testimonials: Include supporting statements from senior professionals.
